I know it's way out of season but this one just unfurled. I was looking to replace a Fragrant Surprise that I had killed and finally located one. In the catalog they had this listed so I thought I would give it a try. They came in about 6 week ago and I potted them up and put them in my garage. The other day I noticed this one had really sprouted so I put it by the window in my garage and it opened up.

A couple of shots today. It's dreary with rain so the lighting is bad.
It has ventricosa & plantaginea in its lineage so it should have nice flowers.

That's a nice looking leaf. I can definitely see the ventricosa in it!

Sun came out today and I was able to get better pictures of this one.

Nice, very nice
When do you expect it can come outside in the garden for real ?
Most years I have a window sill hosta, but I normally bring it out rather late in the spring. so wondered if it was an idea to start a bit earlier
Then, I normally start with a shaded location
If they unfurl indoor they need to be adjusted to the wind and the sun.

Against stupidity the gods themselves struggle in vain.

It can't stay outside until mid-April - after the threat of frost is gone.
