This month Finegardening has an interview with a well known Nursery owner who was visisting plantsman in Japan .A local collector took him to a small Hosta breeder in a mountainous area (isolated) when the owner showed the Japanese collector a new plant he came up with the collector bought it immediately for 3500.00. i wonder what is the difference between nursery grown rectifolia versus wild collected?

It was an article inside the back cover about Dan's trip.
