Discovered these last night

Post by redcrx »

While watching the early hosta unfold and getting the frost warning, I overlooked other developments in the garden. I want out last night to walk the dog and saw these "glowing" in the porch light - red camellia flowers. I got some shots this morning. The frost didn't bother them. I don't think it did much damage - it didn't get much below 32.
This is the first time I have seen these flower. They went in last season.
