Moonlight madness
I had posted a picture of this hosta on the thread "What a difference a year makes". I was showing how small it is this year. I took a closer look at it today and it seems to be exploding with growth.

I find mine sometimes do that;emerge and grow then slow down come midsummer some of them then put on another spurt of new growth. See the post to summer dormancy I kind of agree with that.
Re: Moonlight madness
All the new hosta I got this year all of a sudden are putting out a lot of new growth and the older ones really blew up-My Holy Mole got humongous within a weeks time. Like they were sleeping during the horrid heat wave and when it was over they made up for lost time.

Re: Moonlight madness
Judging from the second and the fourth picture, Ed, it looks as if you might have an issue with foliar nematodes with this one.....
