Hosta of the Day - Moonstruck

Post by redcrx »

This one was mentioned in the Dress Blues topic. It is a sport of Dress Blues. I have had this one since 2010. It is small. I haven't seen it flower yet - I may have it in too much shade.

I thought that sounded familiar but I must have made a mistake when I searched for it.

Are you SURE that's a 'Moonstruck'? The margins are about twice as wide as any other pictures I've seen of that one.

2015 - July 25. Mine was divided up at the end of the season and went to new homes.

My Moonstruck yesterday:

And a second one surviving in horrible conditions - low light, bad tree roots.

Yours has a much wider green margin than mine does. It looks like a different plant entirely. I've looked at the pictures on the Hosta Library and while many of them have a wider margin than mine, all of them have more white in the centre than yours.
