Perusing the master list of hostas that VioaAnn has created for our use, I was surprised that this hosta hasn't been discussed. I bought four of this hosta in 2007. All four have done well planted under limbed up spruce trees. They have gotten very little dappled light. The blemishes on WB in my picture are actually the seed pods off a maple tree to the left.
Info gathered from Budd Gardens website:
(Aden 79) LARGE 18" high by 45" wide. Good substance, dark green with a blue cast, widely and irregularly margined pale yellow to cream with streaks jetting to the midrib, dimpled; edge flat to slightly folded, widely oval with a cuspidate tip. Site in good light to filtered shade for best colours. Wide leaf margin. Sun tolerant and slug resistant.

One of my older Hosta. No clue were I got it from. This is earlier in the year just after it came up.

Ogrecfc, that is great picture of your WB. After 4 years mine don't show the corrugation of yours yet. Yours must be much much older.
Re: Wide Brim ...post your pics
It might be. As I said it's quite possibly the oldest Hosta I have. I thought it was 4-5 years old, but might be closer to 6-7 years.
