Here it is, late in the season, as it starts a second flowering cycle:

Collector's Banner this season. It flips it's colors and leaves some white streaking.

That is a neat one I haven't come across before. It really seems to be coming along nicely, Ed, and you have some great pictures showing the color changes!

Re: Hosta of the Day - Collector's Banner
Thanks Chris, it's hard to catch them at the right moment. I think photo number 4, the real dark centered one, is the leftmost leaf in the first picture when they just emerge.
I hadn't noticed the "white lightning" before. I'll have to add it to my collection of that type.

Re: Hosta of the Day - Collector's Banner
I was cleaning out one of the gardens behind my house today. It has many Gold Standard sports.
This one is always fun to watch. I wonder how does the plant decide what leaf-color variations it will put up in a season. I don't think I have seen the light center dark edge variation before - it's on two of the sprouts.
Off to the right is one of my Gold Standard sports Standard's Bands - it's overwhelming Collector's Banner so I will need to "trim" some hunks off of it..
