Paradigm and Paul's Glory
I planted a Paradigm last year and now that it's gotten bigger, it looks a lot like my beautiful Paul's Glory. Are they related?

Re: Paradigm and Paul's Glory
Hi,
Though they may look similar now they aren't related, and in time they will be noticeably different. The first difference is that Paradigm has whitish flowers and Paul's Glory lavender, and in time Paradigm will have a more rounded leaf, be a lot more densely corrugated, and should end up becoming a lot taller and larger mound than Paul's Glory.
Hope that helps
Chris

Thanks Chris, that's very helpful and useful information. PG is one of my favorites but it looks/sounds like Paradigm will give it a good run for its money.
Re: Paradigm and Paul's Glory
Inspired by Chris to see the differences I went out and snapped a couple of pictures. The corrugations of Paradigm are evident, and the leaves are glossier. The colors of Paradigm are a little richer, although the light exposures are not quite the same. Paradigm's leaves are in reality a little smaller (but a younger plant).

This Paradigm has been in place since '05...as Chris said rounder leaves and good corrugation....dwarfing a blue cadet.

Added my Paradigm in 2009. I love the corrugation and color combination on this hosta!

Paradigm on top and Paul's Glory on the bottom. Lobe both of them. I agree with Eleven, love the corrugation on Paradigm.

Flower differences: PG with its lavender notes, Paradigm whiter.
