Found interesting flowers on Dixie Cups

Post by redcrx »

I almost missed this. I was getting some photos today and saw this from a distance. It didn't look like much but I remember I haven't seen Dixie Cups flower yet so I got some shots. I didn't notice the purple "stain" on the edge of the petals until I looked at the photos. I don't remember seeing this coloration before.

I'll have to keep an eye out here on things to see if there are other hostas with purple around the edges of the petals. Haven't ever seen coloring of hosta flowers run that I know of, so it is a bit interesting too.

Hosta of the Day - Dixie Cups

Post by redcrx »

As I was starting a HotD for Dixie Cups I came across this topic so I'm just updating it. Some photos will be duplicates.

Dixie Cups is a hybrid of 'Korean Snow' x 'Abiqua Drinking Gourd'.
