I come across this hosta at a recent Del-Val Hosta Society meeting. The meeting was hosted by a member in their beautiful garden (I'll get pictures up eventually - I'm way behind). This beautiful plant was given as a gift to the hosts.

I thought it was a nice medium sized plant and ordered 2 from Chris. I got 2 "monsters" - boy they can get big.
I was going to pot them but I don't have big enough pots so one went into a small garden where I lost a couple of plants to voles. I put it in a cage - wire trash basket. The second went into my south facing garden where I just removed a holly bush that was chewing up some nearby hosta. I hope it can take a lot of sun - most hostas in this space can handle the amount of sun it gets.

Photos of them in the garden.
First - where the holly came out. Second - where voles roam but so many as before. That little white tube at the bottom is a vole trap.

Very nice, Ed. Olga used some nice bloodlines: ('Fascination' x montana f. macrophylla) x (('Zounds' x 'Niagara Falls') x 'Sea Dragon')
I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to chat at the meeting. We had a board meeting before, and then that auction!
If you're looking for even more hostas, have you been to Russell's Wholesale recently? I'm afraid the business may be going under; Alan is selling his reserve stock. We picked up a dozen on Saturday (only one from the reserve).

No, I'll have to try to get up there.
Here is another garden photo I took when I noticed a similarity to Bridal Falls - they have similar parentage in their background.
The Gone with the Wind is at the top with Seducer in the middle and Bridal Falls on the bottom. (Two vole traps along the left edge and rabbit netting on the right side with the deer fence behind that - I always thought gardening was just dig a hole, put plant in and weed.)

Interesting leaf on my one in bright shade - a little extra color.

I have two of these but one was just crushed by a pine branch in the garden.
Here is the intact one from yesterday:

Gone with the Wind growing in bright sun. I'm still clearing the chickweed toward the back. The little plant at the bottom left is Blue Striptease but the darn rabbits have taken a liking to it.

My second one is really variable this season - it doesn't get the sun the other one gets.
