That green "dusting" on the leaves reminds me of a topic I posted last year where a few similar types were sports of Krossa Regal. Check 'Regal Heir' in the Hosta Library for a similar look.

Looks like Ghost Spirit, a misted centered sport of Valentine Lace. The wavy edges are characteristic of it. From looking at the other plants around can I assume this is a smaller clump?

redcrx,
It surely looks similar but today is the first time I heard that name so I don't think that is is.

Thanks for the suggestion.

chris, Ghost Spirit sounds familiar. Do you mean another clump of the same?

Thanks,
Brenda

I went out this morning looking for my Ghost Spirit. Couldn't find it - that's one of the problems of using pots. I did find one with that "dusting" on the leaves - Guardian Angel - just a thought.

I do have Guardian Angel and I know where it is. I need to move it though as it used to be large and lovely but it is shrinking. It did great for a while as did the other hostas in that bed but then Galaxy died out and Sagae lost its luster.

I'm open to more suggestions.

Thank you!

I was just wondering about the size. Sometimes it is hard to get a gauge of sizing so look at plants around it. What is the blue hosta to the left?

Chris, unfortunately, the blue is another I will be trying to identify. Here is another shot of the bed to put it in a different perspective. Thanks for all your help!

Have you ruled out 'Halcyon'?

Hey ViolaAnn,,

It probably is Halcyon. Do you have a guess on the original one?

Thanks,
Brenda

Something sporting and not going back to former look ?
I was thinking Guardian Angel too, going back, but then it can be the other way around

I don't think it is Guardian Angel as I have it and it is in a totally different place in the yard. In fact GA is in the front yard and 99 percent of my hostas are in the back yard.

Still trying here.

I still think it is Ghost Spirit. It is nearly identical to other pictures of Ghost Spirit online and the size and shape all match too. If it flowers with dark purple/black dusting on the base of the flower scape then that would also be a characteristic of Ghost Spirit.

A while back I picked up one labeled 'Ghost Master' but when I got home and looked it up, I really think it is 'Ghost Spirit,' It looks like this one. Here's it's picture w/tag.
