Benedict's Wild Fire is a green hosta with shiny leaf tops and white backs and red petioles that flowers late in the season.

Ed, is there much draw in the hosta in person? To me, I just kind of looks like a lot of other green hostas.

Yep - it looks like a lot of others. I could have a hundred that look the same. I was hoping for something interesting in the flowers but they are boring also. It could be that in the Spring it has some interesting features like the extra coloration of Almost or Mr Jack or Purple Haze but right now it's plain with a little color at the base of the scapes. The registration mentions a twisted pointed leaf tip - I barely noticed it.

Sorry to hear your update. Not much of a wildfire. I find myself really like Raspberry Sorbet for a solid green this year.

Something new showed-up this season - branched scapes. Two of the 4 scapes have a branch on them.
