Welcome to our happy little family. Feel free to look at ALL the forums, you will be welcome there too.

This Old Coot named John HAD to ASK. What do you band ?? We have a National Humingbird Refuge not to far from here that bands and records for other banders the numbers They have set up an internet listing place so they can each keep track if where they go. They send out a regular newsletter about the birds they see in their preserve, and how many they band each week. This week's report was surely discouraging. Seems they have only captured and banded 1/3 of the Ruby throats they usually band by now.Report go on further to say that this is all over the S.E. US. Attribute it to the Hurricanes last fall in Mirgation reduction. Seem to be normal patterns elsewhere.

Let us know what you band.....................John
