Hi there,
I wanted to introduce myself as a brand-newbie member.
Husband, dog and I recently moved to Nova Scotia, Canada from zone 3 Calgary, Alberta. I'm loving the warmer climate and the increased gardening opportunities. We're on a couple of acres - lots of woodland dappled shade and lots of bright sunny exposure. I'm in heaven!
I'm freely admitting to being hosta crazy. I don't really know how or when it happened, but I can say that I'm now full blown nuts about them - up until this season, I had a modest 25 - 30 named varieties and several unidentified clumps. This year I've already ordered another 40+ for this season, arranged swaps for 10 others and big plans for as many more as I can sneak in without husband noticing.
I also have a deep love for all perennials that my mother instilled in me.
I look forward to virtually spending time and learning from you all!
Michelle (Gardenitis)

Welcome, Michelle! Sounds like you're a full-blown hostaholic now. It does sort of sneak up on you. Many of us have our own stories about becoming hosta crazy.
It sounds like you're going to have a ball gardening on those two acres. If you can post pics, we'd love to see the work in progress as you design your new garden.
Again...welcome. We'll look forward to reading your posts.
