Welcome to plantaholic
Welcome to Hallson's! I see you posted something on the thread that Chris started, but I thought you deserved your own individual welcome as well. If you're able to post pics, we'd love to see some of your disppearing grass.

Thanks ever so much for replying, NTHNM.
Well, since you asked for a picture, how's this for an opener;it's
a view out back from the dining room window. I call this border The East wall.
That row of bricks is my way of protecting some irises--BB Mostest (Shreiners 1999)-- that have been newly set out
from squirrels.
I'll call my gardening style botanical for want of abetter word...

Welcome, and thanks for sharing Isn't it funny how we name all of our gardens? We had been doing that for years before I realized lots of other people do the same thing
See you around the forums!

What a lovely pic! That's a nice view to be looking at every day.
And, Chris, you're right. I have all my garden beds named too.

Re: Welcome to plantaholic
I hope these views of my back garden give a visual clue to specific locations whenever I mention them.
The house faces north.
The South Border, which mercifully shields the view of the neighbor's pool.
Its visual cue is the birdbath, and a sugar maple dominates the scene.
The East Border, which provides privacy from four
other households.
The West Border, which, in addition to providing privacy,
gives background to a couple of peonies. That's a Macintosh apple tree in the
foreground.
They're all Work In Progress. Nothing much going on now; as soon as I muster the energy, fall cleanup will
get underway.

Yum! Macintosh apples are great for making apple dumplings! Loved seeing the pics and you'll have to show more of your "work in progress".
