Pigpen. A friend lives in Indians (south) in zone 6, bordering 5. She has a neighbor who is negligent about doggie-doo-doo-duty! Hate those people!
Anywho............she wants to know what she can plant on her fence line that will take cover up teh smells permeating over the fence all summer?
Is there anything, or a combination of somthing for her?
Thanks!
Need ideas for summer long smells to cover up the neighbor..

Odiferous?
Most plants that have an odor need to be step on, brushed pass, rubbed to bring out the aromatic qualities...in a vine I can't think of anything. Maybe plant a steppable on the path near and use a vine to cover the view. The quickest vines I know are sweet autumn clematis and morning glories.

Drygulch had a couple of good ideas for fast groth, but as he said, covering the scent is another thing. Silver Lace vine is EXTREAMLY fas growing also. I'd suggest Japanese Honeysuckle, but it's illegal to plant it in may places. There are a number of Honeysuckle vines that could still be used though.

Thanks guys. Her telling me about the solution she was hoping for, reminded me of the avon saleswoman joke! I didn't think there was anything to do this, but......... not a really vine expert here!
Maybe I should suggest nosegays <sp?> for she and her guest! LOL
