Beautiful! It looks like you took that pic out of the same window your iris are growing. :D :D :D :D
Looks somewhat like Earnest Markham but I my EM doesn't have that crimson bar on the petals.

OED, they said if was a niobie but when my niobie bloomed last year it wasn't half the size and not this pretty at all.

Definately NOT Niobe. That one is touted as one of the best reds. I have two from two different places. Both are dark marroon.
