Clematis 'Asao'...NOT!

Post by Doris_J »

I was so excited to fine Clematis 'Asao' in the nursery this year. My mother's had one for a few years, and I've always wanted it. Guess what? The Asao that I planted couldn't be further from it. Here's some pics. Who could I be?

I don't know but it sure is a pretty one!

I just looked up Clematis 'Asao', your picture sure doesn't look like the pink-red one I saw on other web sites as Clematis 'Asao'. Sorry you didn't get the one you wanted. Is it from a place where you could tell them about it and perhaps they would try to make it right?

I have new pics of the mystery Clem, who I think is Will Barron, not Will Goodwin. W. Goodwin seems to have kind of wavy edges, and mine doesn't. It looks like Will Barron on the Clematis Society's website. I just love the white striping on the underside of the petals
