Explosive combo on my deck trellis --

Post by GrannyNanny »

These two have just started blooming together -- the orangey-pink honeysuckle, and Clematis 'The President'. Both sides of the trellis are covered with blooms right now -- hooray! Phyllis

Holy :o Those are pretty together with that trellis! I'm thinking 'The President' would be great with one that I just had bloom today. What is the height with that one in your zone GrannyNanny? Is it really that deep blue and how long does it bloom for? Very pretty!

It bloomed twice for me last year, but since it was its first year in that spot, there were not many flowers either time. The first bloom is early summer, and the later was at the end of August, I think. It is growing to a height of about 8 feet, since it is in the ground at the base of the deck, and has to grow up the trellis all the way to the top. Phyllis
