Okay, not an herb or veggie, sooooooooo

Use this area to discuss climbing plants such as trumpet vines, clematis, and others.

When is it time to cover grapes?

Does anyone know at what point they are tasty to birds? Before ripe, or only when ripe?

Just about the time you think "oooh, the grapes are ripe!" you'll go out the next morning to find them gone!!

Yeppers! That's what happens normally! THey are not in plain sight from the house, so we forget about them till it's too late! So do you know about when they get ripe? I mean, is it august or sept?

Depends on variety and weather conditions. One year they'll be earlier, another year they'll be later!

 purple streaks  Isn't that from all the blueberries? We hang some old CD or DVD and the birds don't like that, it's the raccoon that eats the grapes here. The owl doesn't scare them away!
