Diagnose This Clematis

Post by Mary Ann »

This clematis is a prolific bloomer all season but the flowers are always shriveled, skinny, and folding over. What could be causing that? Twas incorrectly labeled 'Hagley Hybrid' but does anyone recognize it?

I don't know about the variety, but I wonder if the petals are supposed to be thinner and a little recurved naturally? I think some may be like that. Not really sure, but it looks like it is growing good...

I'm with Chris, looks perfectly healthy to me. Can't guess as to variety. Perhaps it is a seedling they sold as a named hybrid?
