 Karma. I got a start of a hoya from friends of DH's family before we were married. I gave it to my mother and after we got married took cuttings for myself. I killed mine along with all of my other houseplants when we moved to Indiana. My mom's was a casualty of the fire. If it didn't roast in the heat of the fire, it froze afterwards. I guess I should go shopping for a new one. Maybe after all these years, I can keep a few houseplants alive.

I love the second one! Wow!!! Look at those flowers!

Pat, do you know which one you had? At one time we had over 16 varieties but due to the low 'E' windows I can't winter them over in the house. I really miss having them inside during the winter months. DH wants me to get a light so that we can as he misses them too. I have one by the front door I'll gat a photo of later as it's his favorite. I could try to root one of our bigger ones for you for spring?

Karma, I remember the name Hoya carnosa. I don't know if our friend told me the name or if I looked it up. We're probably talking 1975 or 1976 when I got the first cuttings. It looked a lot like yours in the first pic. The leaves were smooth with white flecks in them. How sweet of you, Karma, I would love a cutting. :D If there is anything that I could share with you, please let me know.

Hey Pat, the one in the photos is a H. carnosa 'Krinkle' is what the lady told me. I have the H. carnosa speckled and have had this one since around 1980s. She is the one that sits by the front doot, if you untwine her she would be well over 35 feet long. I'll get a cutting of this one for you today, for spring.
