lotus picts

This is the first time I've been lucky enough to get blooms from my lotus plants. All of these were new to me this spring. The first is of one blooming today, but the bees are too active to look for the name until this evening. The 2nd is of The President. It opened on July 1 (My B day!). These would probably be happier in larger ponds, but are doing their thing despite cramped quarters.

I only have buds, so far...they are kind of late for me this year, for some reason...

OOps! I hyave the names reversed! The first one is the President! Still haven't gotten around to figuring out the other one.
