The collapse of the Gunnera

The giant Gunnera has collapsed for the year
If the weather continues to get colder it will soon begin its sleep until next April
This photograph gives you some idea of how high it was, as it was some 4 feet higher than the Teahouse behind it

Big ....
This pic was taken a number of years ago, and, spread out, measured 6 feet across
The plant has grown much larger since then
