Suggestions Please...
Hi everyone, I need some suggestions for compact shrubs (3' x 4') that will work as foundation plantings in somewhat dry shade. These will go under my dining room window, southern exposure, but pretty shaded in summer because of a dogwood planted smack dab in the center of the space. I will try and post a pic later to show the space. Also I have some yews there now, but they are going to be ripped out. The area is pretty dry too, but there are some soaker hoses installed. Okay enough rambling, I was thinking about Newport Viburnum. Anyone grow this one? Thanks in advance.

I was going to suggest the same thing. Kerria loves dry shade and probably wouldn't even need the soaker hoses. 'Picta' is variegated and has stayed much more compact than other varieties for us.
If you get out this way again I can show them to you. They weren't leafed out yet but are just starting to flower now, so we'll be potting them soon.
