This is a native plant.

Hi Kana,

Because they look like tiny tomatoes my guess would be that they are nightshade berries.

The birds like them but they are poisonous to humans and other animals.

If they are in a wild area they are not a big deal but I try to keep them out of my gardens. The foliage stinks pretty bad when you try to pull them and they will seed out all over if you let them go.

Thanks again, appreciate it. Couldn't find them in any of my books, now I can & it is narrowed down to 2 plants.

Clammy Ground Cherry which I know I have, but not in this spot.
or Horse Nettle - these are the only 2 that have yellow tomato like berries. Guess I'll be watching it for the flowers.

Chris said the foliage stinks. :eek: Just crush one of those berries in your fingers. :eek: :eek: :eek: Don't put em in your mouth though. :wink:
