Wheeping red bud

Post by putnamgardens »

It was labeled zone 4. I'm technically in 3. When we were in Cleveland last year I remarked about all the fun trees that were in this "open" garden. The lady of the yard told me where she bought'm and good directions how to get there. Her son also worked at this nursery. I fell in LOVE with this tree. Her son offered to mark it sold. Andy protested saying it wouldn't make it. I love to prove him wrong. I paid the employee what they were asking for it and said if he used his employee discount, he could keep the change. He even brought it to the convention hotel for me. I'm glad my SUV had room to bring it home. The spring bloom is super showy. Sometimes ya get lucky. Later, Love, Lisa

Can we see a pic of the whole tree too? It looks so pretty! Aren't you glad you proved it could do well for you? :)
