What a cool plant. I found this at my local HARDWARE STORE today! I just love these kinds of nurseries. What a bunch of hidden treasures!

That is a very pretty laurel.

We were in Virginia a few years ago and driving from Jamestown to Williamsburg there were tons of the most gorgeous laurels growing in the wild. I was completely taken with them. I had since put the thought on the back burner, but seeing your photo has reminded me that I need to get one!

It's a nice plant, and it really does stay compact. I love mountain laurels, but so do the deer. So I have only this one, right up next to the house.
