strange flower on azalea japonica

Hi to all,
When I am removing withered flowers from my azalea japonica I found the strange flower on it.It is the only one, other flowers was normal and plant had great blooming. Is it some desease, did anybody found something like this?

Hate to break the news to you, but that is not a flower. It is a fungus called azalea leaf gall. Cut off any you find as soon as you find them and throw them out. If you catch them early enough you may not have to treat for it.
