I have 6 Oakleaf Hydrangeas. They are all doing ok except for one-a Pee Wee. It is next to a pecan tree, raised some and is 3 years old. The rest of them are looking fine even the one a few feet away.
It has been a great bloomer and the best looker on the block for the past 3 years. I looked out yesterday and the blooms had the dark parchment of late fall. Today I went out and the leaves are drooping and it looks so pitiful.
I felt around in the soil and it was slightly damp. I gave it some water (perhaps what it didn't need, but I had to do something!). I haven't taken care of the gardening this year as well as I should have, but with 34" of rain in 2 months it couldn't be helped.
Any thoughts? Is it a goner? Is there something I need to know? Wahhhhhhhhhhh!

Oakleaf Hydrangea help needed
Gardening is the slowest of the performing arts.
