There's Good News Tonight!

Post by GrannyNanny »

Hi all my Seedy Friends -- Saw the oncologist yesterday for my every-six-weeks visit, and all the blood work came out in the "normal" range. This is the first time that's happened since I finished chemo -- each time I've been a little under or a little over the parameters for some of the scores, but this time everything is right in the middle of the "normal" range. The two scores for liver function are way down from the upper range (that is good), and the best news of all is that the tumor marker score, which was at 200 six weeks ago, is now at 51! Since anything 55 or under is considered normal, I am once again within the healthy parameters of that as well. ( When I was diagnosed with a recurrence last November, the tumor marker score was over 11,000!!!!!) So, all is well - very well indeed. Since some of you have been on this Cancer Rollercoaster Ride with me three times now (since 2007), I wanted you to know the good news. I am really pumped -- and very, very grateful. Phyllis

I'm grateful, too. Good news seems so scarce that we treasure every bit of it!
