It's lovely out in my woods

Post by GrannyNanny »

I've been taking pics of the various little islands of plantings that I've put out in my woods. Right now all the native eupatorium is blooming, as are some of the other plants. Looking out my window is such a pleasure. Have a look. Phyllis
Can't get the TinyPic images to load. I'll try again later.

No luck yet with the pics of your woods? Would love to see them if you can get them to load. I've had a time or two when the TinyPic didn't want to work, but when I come back and try again another time it has gone through.

Linda -- I'll try again by making the pics smaller so they will load under the smaller parameters. Stay tuned.

Re: It's lovely out in my woods - PICS!

I just resized the pics, so here they are. One is of the birdfeeder garden and the wild eupatorium blooming in the woods behind it. One is of a pagoda dogwood with transplanted primroses, blooming at the end of August! And one is of two lobelias -- cardinalis and syphilitica -- that I'd planted out there last year, but they never bloomed and I forgot about them. Voila, there they are, blooming away! Finally, an Annabelle hydrangea (no blooms, alas - the deer got them!) with a newly planted red twig dogwood behind it to the left, and a Joe Pye to the right. Phyllis
