New granddaughter!

Post by Linda P »

It's been a while since we had any new baby pics in our Hallson family. Here's my newest granddaughter, born December 26. She wasn't due until mid-January but just couldn't wait. Her middle name is for John's mom, who has Alzheimer's and doesn't know any of us anymore, so she doesn't know that she has a new little great-granddaughter who carries her name. I am planning to make a quick trip to Minnesota next week to see her and hold the precious little girl before we leave for the rest of the winter in Texas.

My son has already decided that he's going to call her Chuck. Her 'official' nickname is Charlie. That will be a little hard for me, since I have a brother named Charlie. Such a sweet little girl really doesn't look like her name should be Chuck, but that's my son for you.
Can't wait to get up to see her!!

I know, LG! He has a list of nicknames for daughter #1, whose name is Evelyn Lorraine. He'll probably have a list for this one too. I will definitely not be calling her Chuck!! I did finally get used to Evie for Evelyn, and over time if they do call her Charlie, I'll probably get used to that too.
Maybe I'll call her Addie, which was John's mom's nickname when she was a girl, just to confuse the issue.

very cool - happy for you, Linda!

(Chuck is a VERY bad nickname to have when you get to early adolescence... remind your son what he was like when he was 13...)

Addie is really neat...
