Wedding bells, anyone?

Post by Tigger »

So happy today that the Supreme Court recognized the right of same-gender couples to be married in every state. (we need one of those for :champagne:)

My husband and I were married last year on what we recognized as our 30th anniversary. And now the entire country must recognize it!

Congratulations on your wedding Tigger!

Well done The Supremes

A few weeks ago we had a referendum on marriage equality here in Ireland, and we were the first country to introduce same sex marriage by popular vote. I am proud of my country for the first time in a long long time, progress comes slowly but this was a biggie.

It has been a good day! Timing is great - it's Gay Pride weekend in the Twin Cities. I suspect we will have a particularly joyful celebration this year!

Brian and I will be planning a party for next year, around our 25th anniversary. But we will visit the county clerk for the license very soon to make it legal :)

Congratulations to all! I was very excited to see the the ruling for marriage equality. Living in Utah I didn't get to celebrate it with many, so nice to do it here. Now I get to wear my rainbow tie to church (LDS) today to celebrate!
