What is Your Weather Like?

Post by kHT »

On another forum there is a running post on what the weather is like in the poster's area. Folks are following the
weather more and more from coast to coast there. I thought it might be nice to start one here to see how it goes.

Weather is a fickle subject and it's fun to see just how much a snow storm can cause issues as it goes across the nation.

So here goes.....last night at 11PM the temps were the warmest it's been for this year, at 55. The temps yesterday were
11 degrees cooler but we had sunshine!! A great day to do some late pruning. Roses were done in Febr at the usual date
and we are starting to see them grow. Today's forecast is Oregon Mist, yep it missed Oregon and we got it. Cloudy and cooler
yet as the front drops down from up north.

What is your weather like?

After a lovely weekend with temps around 60°, this morning we have low 30s with a dusting of snow! A co-worker, 30 miles north of here, had 5" of slushy stuff.

At least this means that it's not a lot of precipitation. It's a lot to ask for, but we really need two weeks with <¼" of rainfall so we can really get some work done in the garden. Right now, most garden beds make that icky "squish" sound when you stick in a spade and lift.

Hostas look like they're going to come up HUGE, though.

Well, yesterday was a fun day.....cooler temps, rain, snow 20 miles to the north, we got hail and sunshine!
This AM we are at freezing and should have a nice clear day. Rain for the next week so we will be enjoying
some inside projects. Still to cool to open the greenhouses and move plants out.

After this past weekend's wild ride, we got to the mid 60's yesterday. So it was a mad dash to clean up the
yard and to get the grass mowed. Today we have dropped back to the cooler than normal wet weather
for the rest of the week. Come on spring as everything is popping upward!!
