I have recently handraised an American Robin and released him a couple of weeks ago. "Rocky" lives totally as a wild bird...except he still comes home for most of his meals and I grab a quick picture every chance I get.
I got the shock of my life this morning when I looked up into my prized maple tree to take a picture and noticed something on the bottom of many leaves and a few small branches.
I have never seen anything like this on a tree. This particular maple is probably 15 years old and has never had any kind of problems...it is a beautiful tree.
Can anyone tell me what this is?

To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.
Ugh
Looks like an invasion...I hope you killed them? Are they all over?

Re: Ugh
It's an invasion for sure! I just discovered it today...and while it isn't all over the tree, it is on a good bit of it.DryGulch wrote:Looks like an invasion...I hope you killed them? Are they all over?
The little whatever they are feel exactly like mealy bugs.
I'm going to take a leaf to the nursery tomorrow and see what they have to say.
