Is that a Bird house or a mail box ??

I had it made for me after I saw a picture of one similar. I was looking for a mailbox that was different than the usual store bought one. I found the one I liked on line but the price was way toooooooo $$$. So I drew it off to my measurements and asked a friend if he would be able to make something like this.
He did, out of thick cedar, and only charged me about 1/2 of what the other one was asking.
It has no flag, which is the only thing different. But the mailman stops everyday to deliver junk mail, so we don't need a flag.
We put it on a 4x4 treated post and it is sturdier than any I have seen. I do treat it every spring with a weatherizing solution, and try to keep the wasps out of it. CHAR

I was so bored with the long winter that I created a mini
"The Gates" way out in the back yard under the arbor,
it sure did brighten my yard while waiting for the long winter to be over and now they are flying in the wind. And it is a happy look.

Oh, Mary Ann, you've given me an idea! I have several packages of brass charms that I've had for years and years, since the dime store closed in town and put everything on sale for ridiculously low prices. I could put them on a ball! Actually, there are tons of leftover craft supplies out in my chicken house that I could turn into garden art with a little thought.
Lisa, I love that collection of globes. They look marvelous all grouped together like that. Guess you'll have to go out and get some more to display in a group, eh? (Sorry, Andy! I didn't meant to encourage her..... )

My friend Bryan found this out at the curb, with a free sign attached to it.It had no arms,he made a pair from tree branches, and It now stands at the front steps of the house he rents to my daughter.I guess beauty is in the eye of whoever.

This would be the BEST kind of bunny to have out in the garden but he was in a florist parking lot drumming up business. I wanted him to give my dog a treat but her wouldn't. The cat is new. And my husband says I bring home one more gazing ball he's going to leave me......sure am going to miss him. Later, Love, Lisa
Have I mentioned lately that my drinking team has a hosta problem?
