Garden Design

Post by Midnight Reiter Too »

I'm making a Meander Garden. That is, I'm getting DH to till it for me. I couldn't spark an interest in my cherry tree on another thread, but that's what I bought to put in my Meander Garden.

Isn't "meander" just when you stroll around leisurely? Sounds like an ideal garden to me.

That's interesting! So, is this going to be a curvy, flowing kind of garden? I'm thinking if I had a cherry at the end of a meander garden, I'd have a couple grandkids who would use the 'as the crow flies' approach to get to the cherries, and there would go the other plantings!

I have another cherry tree and they love it! Yes, the path will be "Y" shaped, but 20' x 20' isn't vey big so I think it will grow in the future (if I'm still able to garden). We're teaching all grandchildren to avoid the beds and enjoy the grass.

Oh, I didn't think of taking pictures. I hate the look of unfinished projects, so I'll have to think about that one. LOL.

Actually, my grandkids are very respectful of my garden, for the most part. It's just when you dangle juicy cherries in the face of a fruit-loving teenager with size 15 feet, you have a thing or two to worry about....

The tree may be gone, but, as always, you've done an excellent job!
