WOW :o very nice!! Is that your yard?

I must be stupid, hehe. I can not keep grass out of my flower beds. How do you keep the edging so clean? Oh do tell LOL. I even put edging things like landscaping timbers or other stuff, but that dang grass keeps on a commin :???:

Thanks gang! Annie, we use our Martha Stewart edger and that way the grass stays out of the beds. I also spray round up on the edge which makes sure the grass says where it should. The goal is less grass and more flower beds, right?

Round up huh? I never though of using it around the bedding edges.

I'm in the process of moving several of my beds around. I'm going to have to try that.

Whats a Martha Steward edger?

It does look fantastic, Karma! And you use Roundup around the edges, huh? I never thought to do that! Maybe I'll have to do that this year ,because the grass creeping into the beds drives me crazy.

Thanks gang, it was fun seeing my garden from above again!! Now I now where I need to work harder! Goose I'm glad you had a laugh . . . . one doesn't know what one has until you look through the birds eye. It's like should I stop or just keep flying by??
Annie, this is a cheapo K-Mart half moon edger that the guys thought I needed when I said electric edger. Ya know they won't allow me to have power tools? I think now they are having second thoughts after they see what I can do with this!
Yep round up sprayed around the edges sure does stop the grass from growing where it shouldn't. You will need to keep doing this when you see the grass creeping, I think I did this twice a season due to spreading new seeds. I even did it when I used the edging so I don't have the problem mowing at the edging either like I do in the back yard. I'll be edging and spraying the new bed out back on Wed when my back straightens out some. Since the front is done except adding a few more flowers we are currently working on the back. We are doing the rain barrels and planting more hostas out back. A couple more feeding on the brugs and they will be moved into place!! Life is good!!

LOL I must have never looked for one of those. I have never seen one before! But wouldn't a square spade do the same thing, or is that thing you have easier?

I am going to do the round up thing :) Oh your sooooo smart.

Annie, I tried the squared tools but just couldn't get the rounded corners! This must be my smart week, another gardener wants to put in a pond but the price of plastic was killing her. I suggested she look at the freesite or CL and find a CA King Waterbed mattress.

Oh, my gosh! That edger must take forever and I hate to tell you, but my feet hurt too much to use one of those. Sometimes DH uses one like that, but he doesn't do it often.

Your yard is beautiful, karma!

Those edgers are probably easier than spades because you rock them. DH used ours like that. I never had time. Some people have electric edgers, I think.

Nope Midnight Reiter, I work fast!! It's probably the easiest tool in my range of tools I do use.
Yep Thy, I grabbed the ladder, the camera and a picnic lunch to sit up there and enjoy the view! I sure wouldn't do so if I had a two story home.

I guess I'm gonna have to go get one of those things :)

Hehe my pond it made out of a pool liner
Some one put up a pool then tore it down and left it when they moved, and left it laying there. So I took it. Working good so far. Tell her to go for it!

I love your yard, you must work on it all the time!
