Hi Sam,

It is called liverwort, and it grows from spores in cool, moist areas. I see it often in nursery containers and just scrape it off, however our property is so dry that any leftover spores won't grow here so I don't worry about it.

I've never checked to see which chemicals control it, although one article I read suggested spraying them with vinegar... just don't let it touch anything else.

Thanks Chris
The fish and chips (french fries) will have to do without their vinegar tonight :)

Fish and chips are the best with vinegar, I think, but may not be for everyone.

Chips being french fries right? And what kind of vinegar do you use on them? I guess I have never heard of that.

But this is comming from a person who just ate a Peanut butter, mayo and sweet pickle sandwich
