For this to be blooming but again I have an azalea blooming again in the heat of the 90's!!

Sure doesn't look like any azalea flower I've ever seen!

Cactus, maybe?

Much better! I think our really cool spring/early summer weather threw everything out of whack!

By the way, that is one of the smaller leafed rhodies. Not Impeditum. Blue Diamond??

Oh Kellie, you are killing me here!! The label said Azalea, something blue as this was on the property when we moved in.
So now I'm in a pickle, if this is a rhodies it shouldn't be in sun like all the other Azaleas? It blooms when the rest of them do and not when the rhodies do. So shade if it's a rhodies, but it blooms like . . . . . . . Thank you for setting me straight and I know know it's a rhodies. When we move the next owner will have a whole list of what is in the yard!!

Karma, you are okay leaving it exactly where it is at. The smaller leafed rhodies are generally alpine and do prefer sun more than shade.
What can I say? You might leave a career but the knowledge never fully leaves you. :wink:
