Bud fall

Post by Gruntfuttock »

Some of the buds have fallen off some of my brugs.

The soil is a bit moist, could it be that I have overwatered them?

Scratchin' my head here, need more information. Variety of this said brug? Are they drying out between watering? What are you feeding? Insect problems in the past? When I see them drop it's either to wet for to long or to dry for to long without being feed.

They are x candida. Being their first year they haven't flowered yet, but they all had 3 buds.

I put them outside the greenhouse on Sunday, but it was so windy I moved them into the conservatory.

I noticed 1 bud had fallen before I moved them outside. After I moved them into the conservatory there were about 4 more buds next day.

I feed them with Phostragen each time I water them.

Okay that tells me a lot, hot sun and heat is the key for this one. Don't liked to be moved and will need a higher middle number at this time to bloom but it's getting late in the year so I would just baby it until next year. If you are feeding now it might bloom into the fall or winter months. We stop heavy feeding around the 15th of this month so that they will not bloom all winter. Ya know you can pick my brain, just pm me!

I haven't got climate control in the conservatory yet and while the temperatures are only about 70-75 outside it's cooking in there even with windows open.

I watered them in the morning and they were starting to go limp at lunch time. Luckily DW noticed them and watered them again. One has bad damage through drying out, but I'm not too worried as I don't really need 5 all the same.
