Seattle Times!

Use this area to talk about tender plants such as annuals, tropicals, and houseplants.

 Again I read they have no clue about these and have lumped them together, how disappointing. There is a big difference and they are not the same. :o Do you know the differences?

I assume you are talking about an article in the SeattleTimes lumping Brugmansia and Datura together. Your post is rather vague, which isn't like you!

Here is the link to the simple question that was posted to see what they would reply to. This was sent after I found out that the local folks relied on them for the same question and it appears some master gardener doesn't know. Again I sent off a letter to their editor that this is in error and as a hybridizer of these I'm shocked at this answer. There is a big difference and I have had daturas come back year after year so think again about them being annuals. No they don't reach the same heights and the blooms are totally different!
