Wow! Is that a houseplant Karma! It's gorgeous! I've never seen anything like it!

wishiwere, these are Epiphyllum, orchid cactus and we do not bring any of them inside. I just toss in the brug or greenhouse during the winter months. I have way to many!

I have 20 epi seedlings I'm ready to pot on from their 2" pots.

Apart from planting them in 3" pots do you have any better idea what I could grow them in?

Hey G!! We put them in smaller pots and then put 3 of them in a hanging basket until they are big enough to be put in the hanging basket alone. This should give you some idea of what part of our collections looks like.

He was so bright you could see it from the house. I'm half way done painting that area so I can hang them all back up!

I had an idea you were going to say that. OK, another thing on the list for the new house, somewhere to hang 20 baskets.

Well I'm in a holding pattern this am, found three leaks and we are not awaiting for the the roofers to make it out to repair the damage. I can't hang them up until it's fixed and so I'm working on stripping cabinets today.

3 leaks in your roof? Didn't you just have that redone? Or was that someone else! Sorry to hear about the problems either way, not fun with this rain we are all having.

wishiwere, yep in 03 when we did the new windows too! They should be out this next week so I have time to finish the cabinets.

3 years and 3 leaks? Boy, I'm not sure I'd want them to work on it again. You might end up more leaks down the road. That's sad.

I somehow doubt they'll be using you for a reference in the future huh? Let us know what you find out as to WHY it leaks. Whether it was the worksmanship or the product. We bought some 'cheaper' 20 year shingle for the workshop and are kicking ourselves now, b/c it's been exactly 19 3/4 years and they are shot!

Jane, these guys are a big Portland Company and I would hire them in a heartbeat. You see prior to them we had a guy in 1993 roof our home that was local and let's just say he charged to much and his work on our home was so bad the guys from Portland had a mess on their hands. We found out this local guy did some stuff that really was bad for our house and if we would of waited another year, well no roof. The leaks are on the shed and so we can live with that, just think they used the wrong nails on this as it's not the usual decking. We are extremely happy with the workmanship on the house and no problems. Isn't being a homeowner so much fun??

Most times Glad it's not the house! A shed is easier by far to deal with! We do our own, but have help for the edges, as neither dh or I like the edges! I just don't trust it! So we have a friend that is squirrely enough to not mind the edges and we just supply him with parts he needs for him to do that as we go! I can on the roof, just hate getting off and having to find that danged ladder with your first foot! Anyway.....it's fun yes. But as we get older, we're hiring more done than we did 20 years ago!
