I've got a huge pink one.

Use this area to talk about tender plants such as annuals, tropicals, and houseplants.

Thought you'd like to see the first flower on my Frosty Pink brugmansia. I planted the seed last August.

Confused here, these were seeds from a B. Frosty Pink mom???? If so then you have a new hybrid not a B. Frosty Pink!! So if this is so, what ya going to name your new baby?? Remember you need to test it for a year to name it.

I missed the word "cross" after Frosty Pink.

As we don't know who the father is I would like to call it B'stard, but I can't name it without knowing who the father is so it is simply "Frosty Pink cross". :P

Gruntfuttock, the word you need is 'open pollinated.' So when you go to register her that is what I would use if you have no ideas. She is beautiful, you have a keeper and that name sure doesn't fit her.

Is it my place to register it? Maynardmarie sent me some seeds in 2005 and this is one of them. She told me at the time that although she didn't know the father it would be from a good source. ( I spoke to her this morning and showed her the pictures).

That being the case it seems appropriate that I should call it Gina if that name hasn't already been taken.

I've just looked through the ABADS registration application form. Looks like it'll take me most of September to fill it out.

1. Being a member isn't a prequisite of registration.

2. The September comment was a joke referring to the fact that I will be out of work after the redundancy at the end of August.

I saw Nikkal's name there, that's a blast from the past. :D

Looks like a much-improved version of 'Frosty Pink'! Wonder how it is doing now?

(Some) Brugmansia people will disagree, but all rights to a plant go to whomever first bloomed it in his garden.

If I had any seeds left I'd send you some.

Your wish is my command and here it is today.
