Question on overwintering tropicals

Post by melrose »

I have overwintered tropicals for several years now in my sunroom but of course I now have too many to jam all of them in there. I set up some lights in my basement and a time and I've put several hibiscus, fuschias and brugs down there. They are losing alot of leaves (which they always do in the sunroom) but I think is strange is that I'm getting alot of weak looking buds, blooms, etc. Should I let this go and just enjoy the few flowers or is it best to cut them off. I typically never cut back my plants until spring to encourage new growth. Any suggestions from the experts??
