Geranium

Post by Doris_J »

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you, the first GERANIUM BLOOM OF THE SEASON! It's March 24th, and I have a Geranium bloom!

This guy is Geranium macrorrhizum 'Camce', not a flashy one, but a great ground covering variety that will grow in sun or shade.

Good for you Doris! I have a G. renardii cutting in the greenhouse that bloomed today also, but it's a bit sheltered in the greenhouse so probably a bit earlier than it normally would be.

Keep the photos coming, please... :)

Geranium seed

Post by Fergy »

Do any of you have any idea's on collecting seeds ?
I have "Johnsons Blue" and it has a little "spring thingy" on the seed. Just when I think the seed is ready to be gathered it's gone. I afraid to pick them too early, cause they won't be ripe.
Thanks,
Rich.
