WOW!! Not familiar with this at all. My old-fashioned rhubarb has its 1st leaves now as of yesterday.

Wow, that IS different......Very pretty!! I had to really look at it to see what that red was coming from....

I had one of these the past two years, but I think it died on me. Are they short-lived? If so, they're nothing like the old fashioned kind, which go on forever. (The flower stalks on those, by the way, are impressive!) Phyllis

It is not short lived. Possibly your climate might be too cold. It grows bout twice the size of edible rhubarb.
