This is my clematis shrub thingy LOL. I find that the humming birds and bumble bees love this flower.

Oh, that's pretty! I love clematis, and I'm trying to plant one at the base of almost any tree... for the first year a couple of them are blooming up in the tree canopy and they look so nice there.

Clematis are so beautiful and grow in places that a lot of flowers don't. I have c. 'niobe' that is really thriving, however it is entwined around a climbing rose that is all but dead. Once I clear that thorny mess up, I'm afraid Niobe is going to be downsized considerably. Hopefully, it will survive.

I've only had one clematis and I managed to kill it....or maybe let it die would be a better descripition? :oops: I do intend to get another one next year....maybe a couple of them. Love the looks of them and yours is so pretty!! :D

I raeally like the shrub clemmies. I've had a few in different homes and all were great growers. They don't take years to perform like some of the vines do and they bush up nicely each season and the hummingbirds seem to love them!
