Crocus mass planting in the lawn

It's fall, I'm thinking of bulbs. I love the look of single-color crocus mass planted in lawns, and I'm thinking of doing it. However, does 2-4-D hurt the bulbs? I know Scotts weed killer/fertilizer has it as an ingredient. Any experience? Anyone?

hmmm...that is a good question, HD. I don't know the answer but I hope someone does, as that is something I would like to do someday...
